Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s campaign is preparing a new “political strategy” to win the hearts and minds of voters ahead of the November election, according to a memo released Tuesday by campaign chairman John Podesta.
“There are some key things that are going to be important to get across in a way that will make Hillary Clinton look good, and I think that’s a strategy we need to take advantage of,” Podesta wrote in the memo.
The memo was first reported by Politico.
It outlines Clinton’s new “policy and messaging strategy” aimed at winning back voters who have not yet made up their minds about who they want to vote for in November.
“These will be strategies we’re talking about that you’re going to hear on the air, the digital, social, on social media,” Podesta said.
“That is going to involve using language and talking points that are engaging and appealing to people who aren’t already engaged with the campaign.”
“The strategy is to be very clear about the reasons why you believe you should support Clinton and how you are going the extra mile to make that case to voters,” Podesta added.
The “political” element in the phrase “political strategies” is key to the new message.
“We are going into this campaign with a very clear understanding of what Hillary Clinton is about and what the issues are for her,” Podesta explained.
Podesta said the campaign would be “using a new approach” to reaching out to people about why they should vote for Clinton. “
If we can make sure people understand how we intend to make Hillary Hillary Clinton a president, I think it will help make her a more appealing candidate.”
Podesta said the campaign would be “using a new approach” to reaching out to people about why they should vote for Clinton.
“The message will be that Hillary Clinton represents the best of what this country has to offer.
I think we have to make it clear that we’re not just a party or a party of the Democrats, we’re a party that represents all of America.”
The new campaign strategy will focus on building “a movement of Americans who want to see change.”
“In the past, the message has been that we need a change in Washington, a change from Washington to a more pragmatic, more pragmatic approach to Washington,” Podesta stated.
The message will include a new strategy to be more clear about what we believe and how we are going about making that case. “
This campaign is about making sure that the American people are engaged and that they see change.
“It is a message that Hillary is committed to delivering and that will be reinforced by the campaign’s work.””
In short, we are using a new political strategy to make Clinton the president we want to be,” Podesta concluded.
“It is a message that Hillary is committed to delivering and that will be reinforced by the campaign’s work.”
