The Congress and the BJP are set to launch the BJP-led National Campaign in 2019 in Kerala.
The campaign, which will be launched in Kerala, will see the three Congress leaders and Rahul in the fray in a bid to win back the state from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
The Congress has fielded Rahul in recent elections in Kerala and was seen as the likely choice to lead the party in the state.
The BJP is set to field its own national candidate in the 2019 Assembly polls, with Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi and other leaders from the party expected to be invited to the party’s first nationwide campaign event.
Rahul, who was Gujarat chief minister when the party was founded in 1978, has been seen as a frontrunner in the national election for the BJP.
