LA, CA — A Los Angeles County Sheriff is refusing to confirm reports that investigators were investigating allegations of a possible sexual assault against the Sheriff’s Deputy who was on duty when the incident occurred.
The LA Times reported that the sheriff’s department received a complaint about the incident late on Wednesday, citing unnamed law enforcement officials who were briefed on the matter.
The Los Angeles Times did not name the officials, who have not been authorized to speak publicly.
The LA Times also did not identify the person who filed the complaint.
The report said investigators were reviewing the case and would not discuss it publicly.
The sheriff’s office did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
